FAQ
Why hire Maggie’s Scooperstars for Pet Waste Removal?
There is no doubt about it. We are the local Pooper Scooper experts in our industry. Maggie’s was started here in the Valley over 20 years ago. That was long before any of the other independent scoopers, or dog poop pick up franchises came to town. Maggie’s is the longest running pet waste removal company in the Phoenix metro. Our team has removed more dog waste from more yards and commercial properties than any other company in the Valley. We lost count on how many yards we have cleaned over the years, but it’s been millions of piles of dog waste removed and it is estimated that we have picked up dog poop on over 70,000+ acres of HOA and Apartment grounds and the number is growing every year. We are family owned and operated. Every day we take pride in our work and strive to provide a great service to our clients. Your satisfaction is our number one priority. Our team and company is fully insured, background checked, uniformed, with marked company trucks equipped with video and gps tracking, our fleet uses all American made vehicles, and every team member is legal to work in the United States and is hired on full time. We do not use day labor, or contract labor and never send untrained people into your yard.
Who should hire a professional Pooper Scooper Service?
Anyone that is busy during their daily life and needs a hand with the to-do list. Someone that understands that time is a finite resource. There are all kinds of reasons that it makes sense. We help new parents, we assist people after having surgeries, disabled individuals, and those that are just too busy. Why waste time scooping poop when you can have a professional do it? Our service allows you to spend time doing what you do best, or spend precious time with loved ones, or just doing what you love. Having a pet shouldn’t be a chore. We help pet owners and make pet ownership a little more enjoyable.
What service intervals do you offer?
We offer weekly services which is by far most popular. We also offer 1x cleanings when the waste starts piling up and you need a quick hand to get it back into shape. Depending on location and availability we may have openings for 2x and 3x a week cleanings if you need to keep the yard really clean.
What is the best way to sign up for Pooper Scooper Service?
The best way to sign up is through our website. We try to make the quote and sign up process as quick and easy as possible. We know your time is valuable. Once everything is entered, our office will contact you to give you the time and day of service and with any questions we may have. We look forward to hearing from you!
Are there any contracts to sign?
No, we do not lock our clients in with a minimum service contract. We provide great service and have the best clients and satisfaction is always guaranteed. If you need to cancel because of a move, dog passing, or any other reason, we only require 48 hours cancellation notice prior to your next service by email, or text, to make sure we do not make a trip out on the day of service. Any prepays will be refunded.
What if my yard has been piling up for a while and dog waste has been accumulating? Is there an initial cleaning fee to get it back in shape?
Depending on how long it has been since the last cleaning there may be an initial cleaning fee to clear all residual waste, disinfect the yard, haul away and dispose.
How do you determine my service day?
Our routing software matches the best day of service based on your address and interval of service.
How do you bill, or how do I pay?
We invoice out monthly at the beginning of the month. We provide a seamless experience and save you time from writing checks, or picking up cash each month. We require a card on file in our secure system for first and last month and set most clients up with autopay, but if you prefer you can set up bill pay from your bank, or send a check in each month. We accept all major cards for auto pay. Autopay will ensure that there are no pauses in service for late pay if you forget to write and mail a check.
Do I have to be home for the service?
No, as long as we have access to the yard through a gate we will handle the job. If you have a lock on the gate we will need a copy of the key on file, or the code to the lock.
How will I know it is your team member entering my yard?
We always try the best we can to keep our routes and times consistent on the day of your service, so you know when to expect us. If you would like, we can set up free reminders that send texts when we are heading your way. Also, all of our trucks are fully commercially registered and insured and have our company logos on each door. Our team members are all fully trained hired employees that are insured to be in your yard. Our staff all have blue and white uniforms with company logos. We differ in that we do not send untrained, contract labor with no insurance to cover injury, or damage to property, in unmarked non-commercially insured personal vehicles to your home and allow them in your yard. We strive to keep everyone including your pet safe and your property safe.
How do you make sure you secure the gate when you leave?
We open and close gates for a living. This is one of the most important jobs we have to ensure the safety of pets and young loved ones. Our techs take pictures of gates upon departure to make sure they are latched and secure. We also take pictures of pool gates, or any gate that we go through that may allow access to the pool. This helps if you have other service companies entering the yard like pool, landscape, construction, other family members, or visitors, and someone just happens to leave the gate open after we secured the gate and continued on our day. We keep these pictures on file in case of any questions that may arise.
Can my dog be outside?
Yes, our team loves dogs. As long as they are not aggressive toward strangers coming in the yard, they don’t bite, or bark too much, and wake up the neighbors if we arrive early in the morning, we would love for them to be out. If your dog is territorial, gets stressed out with visitors, or gets nervous or skiddish, please keep your dog indoors until our team is out of the yard. We want your pet and our team to stay as safe as possible. If you need a service reminder 10-15 minutes before service to allow you to bring in the dogs we can provide a text prior to arrival through our routing software.
How do you know if your tech showed up to clean?
We always know where our techs are and are in communication throughout the day. We have software that can tell us where they are at any given moment and whether they are in the yard scooping, or driving, or out on a commercial property. Our phones and trucks are always tracking routes and sending us up to date information and safety alerts. Our trucks are also equipped with video cameras and driver safety training through AI. This is to ensure we show up and get the job done when we are supposed to. Our software also stores the pictures our tech takes of your latched gate on departure.
Do you haul the waste away? Do you dispose of it safely, legally and properly?
Yes, we differ from other scoopers you may find online in that we run our company professionally and provide our staff with company trucks allowing our team to safely haul all waste away. We incur a significant amount more cost than other companies that use contract labor type help that have the day labor provide their own personal vehicles and hopefully insurance. Since they are not hired on as actual employees these types of scooper companies have less control. By hiring employees instead of contracting labor and providing our trucks to haul with, that are also equipped with video, we can make sure we dispose of all waste legally and properly. We do not train, or allow our team to illegally dump along their routes at random trash cans and dumpsters and we do not allow our staff to place waste inside their personal vehicle passenger areas for their safety and sanitary issues.
How do you keep your tools clean?
By hiring real insured employees and also providing video monitored trucks and setting them up for safety and working routes, we make sure our team properly sanitizes their tools before and after every visit to keep your pet safe.
What if I move?
As long as you are in our service area; email your new address and we will reroute to your new neighborhood when we are in the area. If you are moving out of our service area in Phoenix metro we are happy to refer you to a reputable professional scooper that services the area. We also have a few out of state references available depending on the state. Any balance after cancellation will be refunded.
What if I get a new dog, or a puppy?
If you get a new dog let us know about your new dog and we will add notes about it into the system and adjust the bill. If you get a new puppy, please contact us before the next cleaning. We take extra puppy protocol precaution until the final shots at 16 weeks to ensure its safety.
What if I go on vacation, my dog is away, I am a snowbird, or I don’t need service?
If you need to pause, or skip service Email our office 48 hours prior to the scheduled service and let us know. We will automatically resume on the date you provide to start up again.
Do you scoop in rain or heat advisory weather?
We scoop in rain, snow, cold, hot. We do wait for storms, or lightning to pass, but get right back on the job. We will attempt any yard that is not fully flooded and scoop all dog waste that is accessible. If for some reason we didn’t arrive and attempt the yard due to running out of daylight, or storms, we will reschedule.
What about holidays?
Our team does observe and are paid for national holidays. If you clean on a holiday please let us know and we will credit the week. Otherwise, we will remove double the waste on the next scheduled service day.
What if I have any other questions regarding my service, need to update my information, such as billing, address, new dog, or moving?
Please contact the office by email and we will be happy to answer any questions, or update any information in your account.
